Makenna pursued performing from the age of 3, where she attended a local dance school and took ballet and character lessons. This then developed into a competitive hobby, where she fell in love with the stage.
Aged 7, she picked up drama lessons and soon found this is where she belonged. After several years and numerous community theatre productions, Makenna was put into commercial auditions, and after securing a role on a TV advert, she was hooked, and has since been pursuing her career in TV and film acting.
She has just wrapped on Dark Temple Motion Pictures latest horror film ‘The Barge People’, playing the supporting role of Jade (October 2017). This is set for distribution late 2018/early 2019.
This year, she has filmed in Turin, Italy, for the lead role in award winning director Emiliano Ranzanis’ feature film ‘Bloodbags’- which is set for release in several territories in early 2018. She also played the role of Emily in the two hander play ‘Monologues of a Tired Nurse’ which had several runs around London and received several 4 star reviews- ‘The performances are solid and convincing, particularly that of Makenna Guyler as the sweet natured but overwhelmed Emily.’ ‘Raw and real’. Makenna has collected numerous screen credits including taking on the lead female role in ‘Fallen States’ feature film ‘David and Goliath’, which received US cinematic and world Netflix release.
She is currently training with The Actors Class, which is ran by Mary Doherty in central London.
Alongside her fast developing acting career, Makenna loves to travel, and has completed successful treks both up Mount Kilimanjaro and to Everest base camp.
